About the Author - Joanne Yesol Choi
Joanne has always been a storyteller, both in writing and in music. Listed as one of 2023 CBC’s 30 Under 30 Canadian Musicians, Joanne is an accomplished cellist and educator in Canada, with immense experience performing and teaching across North America, Europe, and Australia. Beyond her musical career, Joanne has always loved weaving her writing and music together, creating evocative and rich narratives for her audiences. Her passion for creativity and love for the beauty of words have culminated in her debut as an author. Joanne has a curiosity for the world and finds joy learning new skills and hobbies. She also loves spending quiet moments in vast fields and admiring nature.
About the Illustrator - Hyunnah Yi
Hyunnah has been an artist all her life. With a rich background in Visual arts and graphic design, she has been making a name for herself in Canada as a paperquilling artist and teacher for the last 23 years, selling her artworks in shops throughout North America and Europe. From the delicate art of paper-quilling to children’s book illustrating, Hyunah finds her greatest inspiration from the beauty in nature. She often incorporates floral arrangements and whimsical creatures in her works. When Hyunah is not creating art, she can be found tending in her garden where she finds peace and happiness among the blooming flowers and lush greenery.
